Can you imagine and comprehend the death of Christ? Can you imagine the agony he felt?

Seventh-day Adventist Christians among many other Christians strongly believe that Christ died for the sins of the world. Paul describes the experience of Christ in these words, "Who being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross."
—–Philippians 2:6-8
Can you grasp it? Imagine!

Ellen White(Author) commented:

" The spotless son of God hung upon the Cross. His flesh, lacerated with stripes. Those hands, so often reached out in blessing, nailed to wooden bars. Those feet, so tireless on ministries of love, spiked to a tree. That royal head, pierced by the crown of thorns. Those quivering lips shaped in a cry of woe. And all that he endured; the blood drops that flowed…

Brothers and Sisters in Christ, can we start to live like this, PLEASE?

You Received Jesus, Then Receive Your Brother

By Keith Butler

"Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations. For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs" (Rom. 14:1-2).

Anytime someone has made the decision to receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, we are to receive them – period. I don’t care if they are of a different color, race, background, or religion. He tells us to receive them because God have received them.

Satan has done everything he can to divide the Body of Christ. To a certain extent, he has succeeded in dividing us along racial lines, class lines, and theological lines. He wants to keep us fighting about religion, beliefs, and doctrine. He wants to keep us at arms length from each other so that we can’t have the fullness of God on the earth.

But notice what Paul says in Romans 14:1, "He that is weak in the faith receive ye." He’s telling you to receive those who may not be as spiritually mature as you are, and they may not know as much as you know, but they are believers.

Now, in Romans, the whole chapter 14 talks about receiving people who have doctrinal differences. To illustrate the point, Paul uses the issue about meat offered to idols.

Back in biblical times, people worshipped many idols. Well, some of the finest restaurants would take the meat, offer it to their idols, and then serve the meat in the restaurant. Some Christians felt that it was a sin to eat meat offered to idols, but Paul had no problem eating it. He said that he sanctifies it by the word in prayer, and it is good.

However, Paul tells us to receive those who are weak in faith. Unfortunately, the church today still does not recognized the need to stand as one. We’re too busy worrying about whose different: the Baptist believes one thing and the Presbyterian believes another, and The Church of God in Christ believes one way and the Assemblies of God believes another way. Word of Faith believes this and somebody else believes that.

Of course, we may have things we don’t agree on, but there is one thing we all share: we believe that Jesus Christ is Lord. Now that doesn’t mean you have to change what you believe in the Word of God, but it does mean that we don’t have to allow Satan to divide us. Surely, we have all received Jesus, then that’s enough for us to receive each other.

Still Trill Christians (STC) – O Lets Do It Remix /Holy Music

As today’s Top 40 radio is saturated with rampant drug use, explicit sexual overtones and raunchy rap lyrics, it seems that long gone are the days of responsible, socially conscious music- until now. For the past two years, Houston-based Still Trill Christians have been rocking radio waves and saving souls from street corners to church pews to cyberspace with their newest single “No Sex.” After pushing their words of praise throughout Houston and surrounding areas with their three-song EP and receiving regular spins on local gospel station Praise 92.1, STC is now prepping for the release of their independent debut album Trill As It Gets in Spring 2010. “We make it cool to not want to have sex,” explains founding member JT. “We’re all good-looking cats. We can get a woman. But you’ve never seen four dudes with swag talking about not having sex and married.” Made up of JT (Joshua Dillard, 23), ACE (Antawan Moore, 24), Prince AJ (Albert McQueen, 20) and Erupt (Elwyn Dillard, 24), the group was formed in Humble, Texas at local church In Christ Ministries. Each member initially started their career making secular music. Subsequently, they were all headed on their own separate paths to self destruction. They know what it’s like to go to jail, rob, gang bang, indulge in premarital sex and use drugs. They have been through it all and use their past lives as testimony. JT and Prince AJ were former street cats and gang members and constantly found themselves in the middle of street

Why do many people not make a distinction between the disciples of Jesus Christ and false converts,?

many of whom are real wolves in sheep’s clothing and many times in positions of "leadership" within the organized church.

First off though, this question is only for people whom are familiar with the ministry of Jesus Christ.

I often hear about all the horrific things done by christians, but hey, wait a minute, Jesus Christ didn’t teach his disciples to do any of those horrible things, rather, he said we would know his followers by their fruit, thus, it is easy to make a simple distinction and say instead that false converts of christianity have done many horrible things, being wolves in sheep’s clothing, doing the works of their father, the devil.

Why is this distinction never (or nearly never) made in arguments against christianity? I do ask that the distinction be made by all whom know better, being knowledgeable about the true teachings of Jesus Christ.

Why do Christians think we don't need the ministries of Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors & teachers?

Anymore?

It is written in Ephesians4 that Jesus gave these ministries to some for… The perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministries, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come in the unity of the faith, & of the knowledge of he Son of God unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ.

This hasn’t been fulfilled yet. So? The Church still needs each of these offices in operation.
CatholicCrusader? I was asking about the ministries of the 5 fold ministries.

Deacons, Priests & Bishops are ministries. In the Order of the Church & then there is a leader of the individual Church who be the ministry of Pastor. So? These 3 are under the Pastor in the Church. And Jesus Christ is our High Priest after the order of Melchezedek. In Revelation, Jesus Christ who has loved us & washed us from our sins in his own lood, & has made us kings & priests unto God & His Father. To Him be glory & dominion forever & ever. Amen.
pappy, We haven’t come into the unity of faith yet. See the denominational divisions. See there are still peoples who have never heard the Gospel. See that many Christians are babies & many need to mature in Christ. See there are many who aren’t yet Christians. In the Churches, we have the Word of God but also a few tares here & there. With the tares comes divisions. Divisions aren’t unity.

How many Christians question the morality of what they are being taught in church?

For the past couple of years, the number of Americans who identify themselves as Christians have been steadily declining. Many attribute this to the politicizing of religion on the far right, and losing touch with the true purpose of Christianity. Many Christians who have not been sucked into the political whirlwind of religious legislation are able to see the betrayal in beliefs of Christian virtues. Denying civil liberties, such as the right to get married, regardless of who it is to, and branding others as terrorists strictly because of their religious affiliation has left a blemish on the original Christian ideology. As is clearly demonstrated by all the different denominations and ministries, the Bible can and will be interpreted in many different ways. My question is how many Christians out there believe that their church or another is preaching ideas that are contrary to the true Christian beliefs that Jesus Christ himself would preach?
In response to Kelly S, my information was collected from:
http://www.religioustolerance.org/chr_prac2.htm. Please look it over and understand that just because you observe patterns in your part of town doesn’t mean it is a national trend.

As for Elyon, I don’t intend this to be a liberal interpretation, but it is apparent that you only see things this way because of your own conservative views. The purpose of my posting to is to open up dialogue between everyone to provoke thought, and I appreciate everyone’s input, including yours and Kelly’s. However, as I have mentioned, the Bible is interpreted in many ways, and to claim your personal beliefs as the true belief without question can be perceived by many as a very egocentric and condescending way of thinking. Having said that, I respect both of your religious opinions and hope that you can learn to agree to disagree with others who do not share your thoughts.

The more you know, the more you realize how little you do.

Atheists, How many of you believe that Christ actually lived?

Have any of you actually read the New Testament? over sixty years ago a young British genius wrote that he was forced to go to church 6 days a week and twice on sundays. He said he was one of the youngest men ever to be accepted by Cambridge University as an educator. By that time he concluded that Christianity was just a crutch for weakminded women of both sexes.
He was drafted in WW2 and said he was sad because he had to leave all the books and libraries he treasured. He said to himself ‘I must take something to feed my thirsty mind but what will be engaging enough to hold my attention for that length of time’ He thought how he never really read the bible. The man reasoned, the bible is a sort of History/poetry/fantasy book. So he took it with him to war and read it from cover to cover. He also met other Christians who shared their faith. This man is Derek Prince. He accepted Christ and became a Phenomenal Bible teacher. Check him out on the web DPM (Derek Prince Ministries).

If God spared Jesus for having his own idea of morality, why would he punish all others that do?

Jesus acted completely different than God and Eve wanted to know good from bad too, and good people are to be sent to hell if not Christians.

But God punished Eve, yet spared Jesus, but both Jesus and Eve are his children.

But Eve at least knew what to not do.
Good people all over the world however have no proof that God ever existed so they are NOT told to believe in God, they are simply given a hint and plenty that oppose it.

Why is the resurrection of Jesus Christ more important to Christians than his crucifixion & death?

Why is Jesus’ resurrection more important to Christians than his crucifixion? Surely the main thing is Jesus sacrificing his life to atone for our sins. If anything, the resurrection diminishes the extent of this sacrifice doesn’t it?
